Synopsis: A stubborn and sour horse finds that the most beautiful apple is far out of his reach. Instead of enjoying the many apples he already has, he decides it is worth trying to get the last perfect apple from the tree.

Director's Statement
Horses are a symbol of freedom, beauty, and elegance… everything that this horse is not. Stubborn and headstrong are words far more elaborate when describing the main character, Ziggs. Having grown up around horses, it was important to showcase an authentic side of these funny, but complex creatures. With that being said, horses can teach us to be appreciative and patient..
To fully capture Ziggs’s personality, it was crucially important that he was capable of performing dynamic movements, and that he could communicate his emotions through facial expressions alone.
Director's Bio
Zan Dainwood grew up around horses without ever owning one. When provided the opportunity to create her first animated short film, it had to be about horses. Aside from caring for and riding horses, she loves 3D character animation and rigging. Drawing and creating character concepts are also her favorite pastimes. She recently graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Science in Animation and a minor in Art.
